This traditional styled home, built in 1986, was in need of an update throughout. The new owners, recent empty nesters who were downsizing after their children moved away for college, wanted to create an open, light filled downstairs as well as completely transform the existing kitchen and master bathroom. To accomplish those goals, several walls were removed to open up the downstairs space and the kitchen footprint was expanded to encompass the old breakfast nook. A new island peninsula, a retrofit of the old bay window with a farmhouse style sink, and a coffee bar with reclaimed wood shelves accent the new gourmet kitchen. Upstairs, a luxury tiled shower, a double vanity, and a complete closet retrofit highlight the beautiful master bath. The owners were active participants in the renovation process and were able to put their personal style on the project.
